President’s Report – Brian Hayton Brian thanked everyone for working through the summer and particularly to Lornell, Secretary for keeping us all on track. 4. Secretary’s Report – Lornell Ridley Lornell distributed the Executive Functions Calendar to all members. The following dates were set for the 2003 Dinner Meetings: The following dates were set for the 2003 Directors Meetings: The executive contact list was passed around for updates. Maureen brought CIBC signature cards for signature by the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Any 2 of the 4 signing officers’ signatures are required at all times. All signing officers will need to go to the TD Bank at Guildford (152nd St & 102nd Ave) to sign the signature cards. To date, the current balances are: 6. Public Affairs Committee Report – Mary-Jane Wilson The Executive are listed in the Executive Business in Surrey. Mary Jane will resubmit with picture. 7. Membership Committee Report – Peter Stanger Lornell reported that thus far 23 members have renewed. A reminder email will be sent. 8. Program Committee Report – Bryan Jakeman Brian Hayton spoke on Bryan’s behalf. Lori Oliver from Davidson & Co. has been booked for the September dinner meeting. The November, January, March and May speakers need to be booked as soon as possible. The following speakers are possibilities for the coming year: It was noted to add the date of meeting on the speaker topic sheets. It was also noted that the speaker gifts should be bought by the Vice President and have a value of approximately $50.00 each. Suggestions included, “Who Moved My Cheese” book, golf certificate, coffee table books and BC encyclopedia. 9. Other Business a. Marketing FVEPC at Insurance Day – Aug. 15 b.
