BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES

GENERAL MEETING

Tuesday, May 15, 2007 @ 7:00 PM

Eaglequest Coyote Creek, Surrey

1.         President’s/Membership Report – Pam Prior

  • Welcome

  • Thanks to Rob Clark, who will not be returning to the board, for the great job he has done on securing speakers for the most recent year and also for the upcoming year.  We have a number of speakers already selected – one being joint meeting with CAGP on November 20th. 

  • We’ve changed our administrative support to Laurie Daschuk during the year.  

  • We are at 63 members for this year vs. 66 the prior year.  We’ve had some attribution but managed to obtain 8 new members.   We are still looking to grow our membership base!  

  • Next year will be our organization’s 10th year anniversary. 

 

2.         Financial Report – Colleen Loveridge

 Presented attached financial statements. 

Approval of Minutes

Moved by Karl Maier, Seconded by Steve Lake THAT the Financial Statements as presented be accepted.  Motion Carried.

 

3.                  2007/08 Board of Directors

The Nominating Committee presented the following names: 

·         Karl Maier

·         Rosalyn Manthorpe

·         Colleen Loveridge

·         Charlene Taylor

·         Anne George

·         Andy Block

·         Carey Vandenberg

Bryan Jakeman called for nominations from the floor, 3 times.  No additional names submitted. 

 

4.      New President Report – Karl Maier

·         Welcome to new executive, with many people returning (some switching jobs) and some new.

·         Thanks to Pam Prior, for an excellent year as president.  Looking forward to the next year.

·         Comments and suggestions from the members are always welcome.  Have a good summer.

 

The annual general meeting was adjourned.
